Organisers of the second round of the Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship, Norwich Viking MCC, are keen to include Women’s MX Group at Cadders Hill, Lyng on Sunday 14th April.
The Club needs at least 20 on the line. Any lady riders interested in taking part are asked to contact Andrew Hay: 07766 904655 or email
andrew.hay10@btinternet.com as soon as possible. This is a brilliant opportunity to showcase women’s motocross in the U.K. running alongside the Maxxis British Championship at one of the best tracks in the country.
A spokesperson for the organising club said “following the decision to drop the two-stroke class within the Maxxis series, we are keen to include a different class. Ladies sport generally in this country is growing very quickly at the highest level; look at football, rugby, cricket etc. and we feel this is a good opportunity to show that motocross is not a male only sport. There are some really talented lady riders around.”
MX1, MX2 and MX2 Youth classes are already included in this event at Lyng, here is a chance for the ladies to be included providing there is sufficient interest.
