2019 ACU BEC Entry Allocation System

Friday November 9, 2018 at 1:48pm

In order to facilitate a fairer system for entry to the 2019 British Enduro Championship the Trials and Enduro Committee have devised the following method of entry allocation which will be in place from the start of the 2019 season.

2019 ACU BEC Entry Allocation System

The allocation and priority of entries will be as follows-

All Championship rounds organisers MUST have the capacity for at least 150 riders.

All potential entrants MUST hold a valid annual ACU Enduro licence.

All Championship event entries MUST be online using ACU system.

The ACU will carry out all the on-line secretary functions, full details to be confirmed.

Clubs/Organisers announce event entries opening date in conjunction with the ACU.

All entries will be accepted and acknowledged but not confirmed.

Exactly a week later, entries close if event is oversubscribed.[1]

Entries are interrogated and the top 15 in each class in the current championship standings[2] are given priority and placed on the entry list, the remainder of entries[3] are placed into a ballot and once the ballot has taken place, Entrants are informed of their entry status, (entered or on reserve list) those on reserve list may withdraw and have entry fee returned or remain on reserve list to fill up entries from withdrawals. Reserve list placing will be in ballot order however placings will not be disclosed. A rider not getting a place due to the process will have full entry fee refunded after event takes place. Wildcards may be allowed at ACU T&E Committee discretion.[4]

Riders will be allocated numbers for the first round of the championship and may retain those numbers for the whole season for a small fee of £10 (to cover admin costs) to be paid with the first entry of the year.

There will be 7 classes:

Championship; (2) Expert; (3) Clubman; (4) Over 40 (over 40 years on the 1st January of the current year); (5) Over 50 (over 50 on the 1st January of the current year) (6) Women (7) Under 23 (U23)
