Visitors to the UK round of the Motul FIM Superbike World Championship at Donington Park on 25-27 May are to be treated to endless entertainment both on and off the track.
Thanks to the championship's open paddock policy, fans will be able to get up close and personal with the riders, while the popular Paddock Show will be open from Friday morning all the way through the event, featuring chat shows, quizzes, rider appearances, charity auctions, live music and autograph sessions.
The new and improved Fan Zone in the paddock will mean spectators will be able to get unprecedented access to the podium celebrations after each WorldSBK race, rubbing shoulders with the winning teams and riders as they toast their successes, while bike displays and shops will add further atmosphere to the area.
There will be plenty to see on the infield too, with the area not only offering superb views of the track, but also featuring several other attractions. The biggest new addition this year is the world-famous Demon Drome Wall of Death, which featured on live TV two years ago when motorcycle legend Guy Martin set a world speed record, with millions tuning in. Fans at the circuit will be able to see similar stunts and extreme riding skills in person, thanks to the unique 'overhead' viewing positions.
Visitors will also be able to perform stunts of their own, thanks to the Extreme Wheelie machine. This harnessed bike will allow even amateurs riders to get a bike up on its back wheel while cracking up the revs, recreating the famous victory celebrations of the world's top riders.
If fans don't fancy doing the riding but being shown how it's done instead, they'll be able to hop into the Downforce Racing simulator, which several racing drivers have claimed is scarily close to the real thing.
For younger visitors there will be plenty of inflatable fun across the weekend courtesy of bouncy castles, bungee trampolines and inflatable slides, while kids will be able to walk around looking like a super hero courtesy of a top face painter, who will be on hand throughout the main Sunday raceday.
A large display of classics, superbikes and sports bikes will also be on show courtesy of several clubs, while live music during Friday and Saturday evenings on both the campsite and the new Garage 39 café, bar and restaurant will ensure the entertainment goes on long into the night.
The UK round of World Superbikes takes place on 25-27 May, with advance tickets still available and offering savings compared to the gate prices.
