No less than seven newcomers and one event newcomer are amongst the 39 entries received in the first few days of entries being received for the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company Southern 100 International Road Races 2018.
Two of the seven riders are from Germany and Belgium. Mike Bammann has entered a 1000 Yamaha in three races, whilst his Belgian neighbour Jean-Pierre Polet has also entered three races on his 1000 BMW.
Littleborough, Lancashire rider, Stephen Bostock will ride his 600 Honda in two races, with Anthony Harrison from Hyde in Cheshire is entered in four races on a 400 Honda and a 650 Kawasaki.
Suzuki rider Richard Eglin from Derby takes in three races.
Jack Petrie who hails from Christchurch in Devon has a double entry in the 650 races, whilst close neighbour Paul Riley from Shepton Mallet, Somerset competes in the Sidecar races with Andrew Haynes as his passenger.
Making his debut in the Southern 100, although he has competed on the Colas Billown Course previously is Wednesbury, West Midlands competitor Neil Lloyd, who has a double entry in the 400cc races.
