RHL Activities is proud to be the organisers of round two and six of the 2018 Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship at Culham Moto Park in Abingdon near Oxford on April 1 and Duns in Scotland on July 29.
The eight round Maxxis British Motocross Championship series will see the very best talent in the UK battle it out for the prestigious national crown in the MX1, MX2 and Two Stroke classes, that were won last season by Graeme Irwin, Ben Watson and Mike Kras.
Thanks to a strong collaboration between RHL and the ACU, for the first time ever the Maxxis British Motocross Championship will be combined with the Judd KTM British Youth National Championship in one weekend. Round two of the Maxxis British Motocross Championship series and the opening round of the Judd KTM British Youth National Championship will be held at the natural terrain of the Culham circuit, which has hosted countless national events in the past including the British Motocross Grand Prix. This spectacular, technical track, comprised with an exciting rider line-up is likely to produce some fantastic racing with the UK’s top youth and adult riders on the weekend of March 30 to April 1.
After a season with the absence of a Scottish venue, Duns Motocross Track will play host to the sixth round of the Maxxis British Motocross Championship and the event will be organised by RHL Activities. Duns motocross track is one of Scotland’s best dirtbike facilities and has been a staple in the Scottish off-road scene since as far back as the 1980’s. It has played host to Scottish and British national events, including the Maxxis British Motocross Championship in previous years and is fantastic to add the circuit back to the calendar for 2018.
Gareth Hockey, Director of RHL Activities commented “For me this is a fantastic opportunity for RHL to run two rounds of the Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship in 2018. I am pleased to be able to bring together for the first time the Adult Maxxis British Motocross Championship and the Judd KTM Racing British Youth National Championship combined in one weekend at the end of March at Culham Moto Parc, along with bringing the Maxxis back to Scotland in 2018. The RHL team is looking forward to getting the 2018 season underway and working with the ACU closely for both events.”
