This weekend the Iveston & Satley club will be hosting round five of the British Quad championships and round four of the British sidecarcross championships at their spectacular Dean Moor circuit in Cumbria.
The defending champions in the Maxxis sidecarcross championships, Stuart Brown / Joe Millard, currently lead the championship by fourteen points from Brett Wilkinson / Dan Chamberlain. Both Wilkinson and Chamberlain are recovering from injury but are getting back to full fitness and will be looking to get on the top step of the podium this weekend. In third place after three rounds are the leading Irish crew of Gary Moulds and his English passenger Steve Kirwin.
The national sidecar Experts championship is headed by Hodges / Ide from Moulds / Kirwin. This class is incorporated in the three championship races and points are basically awarded to those with a riding number higher than ten.
The Cromwell truck sales Quad championships are headed by Paul Holmes with Mark McLemon in second place just seven points adrift. Third place at present is held by David Cowan a further eighty points behind. The quad races include the Connor Smith memorial in support of the Connor Smith trust.
The meeting is over two days with Nett championship races on Saturday and the British Championship races on Sunday. Practice on Sunday starts at 10.00hrs and the first race is due to start at approximately 11.45.
There is a live band and beer tent on Saturday night and camping at the track is allowed at a cost of £10 per vehicle. Admission for adults is £5 each or £10 per car with more than one person.
