Frittenden & DMCC Ltd proudly presents the 'Summer Spectacular Pairs' grasstrack meeting on Sunday 16th July 2017.
A whole host of top riders have entered the Pairs meeting, which is the first grasstrack Pairs meeting for a few years. The standout names in the 500cc solo class include Rye House Rockets Edward Kennett, who is pairing up with Australian speedway rider Alex Davies, Eastbourne Eagles duo Mark Baseby & Charley Powell, and Lakeside Hammers pairing of former British Masters Champion Paul Hurry alongside Zach Wajtknecht, amongst a class of over 20 riders. Other top names featuring in the meeting include Multi-Masters Champions Mark Cossar/Carl Blyth teaming up with brother Tom Cossar in the right hand sidecars, and will face competition from a whole host of sidecars, with 18 currently in the programme.
British Youth Champion and one of the most spectacular riders on the grass, Charlie Brooks, will campaign the 250cc Solo class pairing with former British Champion Adam Shipp, Dave Mears & Mark Taylor look to lead the charge in the 350cc Solo class. Add in the classic Upright solo class, Left Hand Sidecars and the European 500cc Sidecars, it's going to be a bumper day of racing. All classes will feature some fantastic 6 lap finals, with the highest scoring pair in the finals being the meeting winners!
If you've never been to grasstrack, the pits are open to all and you are able to get up close to the riders and machines. At the conclusion of the meeting will be the usual podium presentation. The club also has the usual amenities including hot food and a beer tent on the Sunday, and free weekend camping is also at the venue, along with fresh water and toilets.
Venue: Sandhurst Bridge Farm, Frittenden, Kent. Sat Nav: TN17 2ED. There will yellow grasstrack signs on the roads near to the track, please follow these as the sat-nav will take you to the farm, and not the track.
Times: Rider/Official Signing on 9:30am, Practice 11am-12pm, First race: 12:30pm
