Set to become a reality in 2018, the BTC is designed as the perfect stepping-stone for riders from the British Isles to get onto the world stage and providing an opportunity like no other for young talent to progress on the Road to MotoGP™. On board with the Cup are world-renowned talent scout Alberto Puig and British racing legend Jeremy McWilliams, providing an incredible structure for young riders from the British Isles to get the best possible start to their careers. HOW TO BECOME A BRITISH TALENT CUP RIDER?
There will be 22 riders selected to participate in the 2018 season.
To participate in this Selection Event all riders must submit an online application.
The Selection Committee will pre-select a determined number of riders that will be invited to the Selection Event.
ABOUT THE CHAMPIONSHIP
Most races will take place at existing Dorna-run events - such as MotoGP™ and MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship weekends – and the riders will race on Honda NSF250R Moto3™ machinery. The organisation provides all riders with motorcycles and full racing equipment. Riders will also be trained how to set up the bike by an experienced technical crew. The organization will also take care of all logistics and set up. Riders will only need to cover costs for their travel expenses.
DO I NEED RACING EXPERIENCE?
We are searching for talent. Racing experience is not essential, but high performance riding experience is required. Riders racing dirt-track, motocross, scooters and minibikes can also apply - as well as members of racing schools.
APPLICATION CRITERIA NATIONALITY: From a country within the British Isles.
AGE: Riders born between January 1st, 2001 and December 31st, 2005
