The premier junior national motocross series, the Thor British Youth Nationals, is gearing up for a fantastic new season where the stars of tomorrow will battle it out for supremacy in their respective classes.
The championship, which is run by RHL Activities, is heading to some of the best-loved motocross tracks in the UK with a variety of terrain throughout the calendar. Britain’s greatest up and coming, talented young motocross racers can utilise the series to compete at the highest level for their age category, while cutting their teeth and establishing their racecraft against other likeminded junior competitors in a professionally organised environment. The championship is also the only gateway for any ACU British youth rider to compete at European and World Championship level in the junior rankings.
With entries in each class filling up fast, it is expected that once again the Thor British Youth Nationals will see some fantastic racing and titanic battles throughout the 35 motos that each full time rider will compete in, with each young gun hoping to clinch the prestigious Thor British Youth Nationals Championship crown. The opening round at Culham in March will kick off the six-round championship, where each event in the series is held over two days.
“Everything with the preparation of the Thor British Youth Nationals is going well and we’re excited to kick off the new season. We’ve got some of the best tracks in the country on the calendar, which should provide some excellent racing throughout the year,” said Director of RHL Activities, Gareth Hockey.
“We are busy working on creating the very best national series for young riders again in 2017, with both the RHL team and our partners who want to be involved with the British motocross stars of tomorrow. The classes are filling up fast and we look forward to seeing the continuation of development of riders who have raced with us before, as well as welcoming new riders into the championship.”
