Frittenden & DMCC host their third and final meeting of the 2016 season, The Frittenden Flyer at Sandhurst Bridge Farm, Frittenden, Kent (TN17 2ED)
The 250cc Solo class looks to be headed by Eastbourne Eagles Luke Harris, second in the British Championship 2 weeks ago, Tim Greig, last year's South-Eastern Centre Champion, Jamie Pantrey who finished 7th in the British Championships a couple of weeks ago, and Charlie Brooks, who at 15 is making his senior grasstrack debut, and has looked impressive on the youth scene.
The 350cc Solo class looks to be a tight contest, with Luke Harris riding a 350 machine, with Mark Giles and Dave Mears who finished 3rd and 4th respectively at the recent British Championships, look to be the ones to beat over the course of the afternoon.
The 500cc Solos, has Ben Millichap who won the meeting at Frittenden back in May, Steve Boxall who went very well here back in July, plus local riders Charley Powell, Gareth Hickmott and Martyn Sturgeon, it looks to be one of the classes to watch.
The Upright class, headed by Stephen Green who has won near on all his meetings this year, including the top championship for the Uprights. Chris Mackett who looked very fast on his 350 at the British Champs, plus the ever youthful Bob Dolman, look set to be his closest challenger.
The 500cc Sidecars have their biggest contingent at Frittenden in recent memory, with up to 12 crews taking to the line. Mitch Godden/Paul Smith, 2nd at their first British Championships look to head a very tough looking lineup. Multi-British Champions Shaun Harvey/Danny Hogg will look to bounce back from missing the podium at the British Championships, add in all girl crew Natasha Bartlett/Ciara Southgate, plus Dan Berwick/Mark Hopkins, it's going to be hard to predict the final, let alone who will stand on the top step.
The Left Hand Sidecars, again well supported, has the back-to-back British and South-Eastern Centre Champions Will Penfold/Ricky Pay, who will look to top off their magnificent season by winning the class's final meeting of 2016. Father and son team Eirwyn/Alex Balman will want to bounce back from a disappointing British Championships, plus Paul Marley/Richard Webb & young guns Gary Potter/Simon Eels being ones to watch. With so many crews racing this afternoon, many of whom have taken race wins this season, they are sure to provide so fantastic racing.
The 1000cc Right Hand Sidecars, contains Multi British Masters Champions Mark Cossar/Carl Blyth and local Rob Wilson/Terry Saunters. 'Pocket Rocket' Paul Whitelam/Alan Elliott normally goes well here, Myles Simmons/Kevin Woodley won the support class at the British Championships and normally go well here. There is an international feel to the class, with Guernsey boys Clint Blondel/Ross Young taking the long ferry trip to the meeting, and will look to build on some impressive results this season.
