As the race preparation steps up another gear, RHL Activities is proud to be working with some passionate partners in the sport to ensure that this year’s HydroGarden Weston Beach Race is better than ever. Apico is well-known as one of the country’s biggest distributor of off-road motorcycle products, and the company works with a range of leading brands that will be present at this year’s event.
Not only has Apico offered goody bags for each rider competing in the race and a special Weston Apico competitor T-shirt, the off-road distributor has collaborated with Ice Valley Water to bring you the Apico Hydration Station, based under the Apico Easy Up on the Promenade. This is to support the competitors to come and grab a free bottle of Ice Valley water when needed over the weekend whilst stocks last. For the general public they ask for a donation in the buckets supplied by GWAAC (Great Western Air Ambulance Charity), no matter how big or small.
In addition riders will receive a sample of WD-40 from one of Apico’s partners, while also the company will be bringing some of the best off-road brands to display and talk to rider’s about their products including Arai, Leatt, Talon and WD-40 themselves.
“Apico has been a distributor in the UK for over 30 years, and the HydroGarden Weston Beach Race is known for its lengthy history as the most iconic off-road events in the UK. It was always a dream to go and watch the race; we came last year and not only was it fantastic to watch, we felt it was a really well run event. We know it helped our brand and gave us the opportunity to engage with our customers. It’s so iconic, and in terms of audience it is the largest attended off-road event in the country, perhaps even in Europe. We hope the weather is on our side and we have a great event, if not better than last year,” said Apico Marketing Manager, Scott Cannon.
“It’s incredibly important for us to work closely with the best brands in the UK for off-road and the partnership with Apico is a special one. Not only do they have a very long history in off-road motorcycling, they are pro-active and working with some of the biggest companies in the sport. This gives our riders a face-to-face opportunity to discuss their products, and of course get hydrated at the Apico Hydration Station on the beach. We really look forward to seeing them there again this year and all of the associated brands,” said Director of RHL Activities, Gareth Hockey.
