Sunday 5th June marked the opening round of the British Super Trial Championship hosted by Scarborough with the event being well supported by riders and spectators. The format was to run qualifying heats in the morning followed by a toughened up course in the afternoon.
The hazards were tough but the riders and crowd were up for it and once again it was British Champion James Dabill who proved unstoppable. Jack Price made it into second for the second time over the weekend with local Michael Brown third and Dan Peace fourth. Peace made the early running in the final and was leading after the first two sections but he fell away in the middle subs and Dabill after a slow start made sure there was only going to be the only winner.
