On Saturday 21st May Berkhamsted will be holding the second round oftheir 2016 Youth & Twinshock Saturday championship. The event is held on an Open Permit trial at Berkhamsted's own trial venue at Nash Mills, near Kings Langley in Hertfordshire - HP3 9TE.
For the third year running the club are fortunate in having sponsorship and support from Mick Surman Motorcycles, of Aylesbury, for these Saturday afternoon events which are run over four laps of ten sections, with five routes to suit riders of all abilities and ambitions, right down to Youth E.
The club's Saturday championship has classes for all youth categories, but youngsters may choose to ride the route that they think most suitable for them. There are also two classes for adults riding twinshock machines on either of two routes, which are diverted around the most fearsome obstacles that the CoC has set for enthusiastic youngsters. The club will also welcome entries from adult riders on modern machines on the understanding that there is no Saturday championship for them.
Youth entry fee is £10 and adults are £15. The event is on the ACU online, which is preferred, though entry on the day is possible.
A Catering van will be in attendance and open for business from 11.30 am, and the trial starts at 1.00pm.
