INCORPORATING THE FIRST ROUND OF THE 2016 ACU/FSRA BRITISH F2 SIDECAR CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Wirral Hundred club has been visiting Oulton Park in April for most of the last 60 years and this year’s event on 23rd April will see full grids for all of its 14 club championship races. Sadly the Club has had to turn away a record number of late entries and for this it apologises. Nevertheless the Club regards this high level of entries as particularly encouraging as the majority of the solo competitors compete regularly with the club or are newcomers to the sport.
However the full grid for its Open Sidecar races comes about partly because of an increase in teams competing in the FSRA Pre-Injection category, but also because several experienced teams have entered to enable them to get valuable track-time ahead of their British Championship or TT campaigns.
In the two British F2 Sidecar races over twenty outfits will take to the track, including championship favourites Ian & Carl Bell, Lee Crawford & Patrick Farrance, and Conrad Harrison & Lee Patterson. The certainties are that the fast, undulating and technical features of the circuit will provide the teams with a unique challenge, and provide spectators with great entertainment.
Practicing is from 9am, and the first race starts at 11.20am, with the first of the British F2 Sidecar races scheduled for 2.30pm.
