SKUSE OUT TO INCREASE CHAMPIONSHIP LEAD AT LITTLE SILVER
This Sunday May 1st round 3 of the Phoenix Tools South West Premier Motocross Championship which will incorporate round 2 of the Open Evo Championship will take place at Little Silver Moto Parc, Exeter where it is hoped that the weather will be a bit kinder to us than what it was at round 2 in Cornwall.

In the Experts at the last round Jamie Skuse (Pictured No 600) on the Tony Maunders Racing Suzuki was to take over the Championship lead and will be looking to extend that 11 points advantage over the Stones Supplies Kawasaki of Jordan Carter who sits in 2nd ahead of the early Championship leader Luke Dean on the Meredith Mx Suzuki. Other riders hoping to do well include the likes of Sunny Thompson on the D S C Cornwall Kawasaki who was on fire at the last round, Kelvin Townsend on the Tony Maunders Racing Yamaha, Jake Penny, Joe Jeffries, Luke Craig, Tom Moore, Ben Butler, Sam Gabriel, Josh Taylor and making his first appearance in the Championship this year, just back from injury on the D S C Cornwall Kawasaki will be Tommy Alba plus wildcards Liam Garland on the G M Electrical/MBO Sport KTM and the Dyer & Butler KTM of Liam Knight to name a few.

In the Over 35’s its Wayne Shimell on the Tyremarks Husqvarna who heads the Championship, but there is just one point between Jonathan Morrissey and James Price in 2nd and 3rd so the battle will be on as well as Ben Harmon on the Cheddar Mx/M D Racing Honda who will be looking to do well after a crash in the opening race at the last round damaged his bike which left him with no points.

The Over 40’s again is stacked with talent and they will all be out to close the gap on Championship leader Stuart Rawlings who leads by 16 points from Richard Green on the T R Green Engineering Honda with the SR75 Molson Suzuki of Martyn Tucker just 7 points adrift of Green in 3rd.

The Over 50’s so far this season has been dominated by David Ford on the Projuice KTM who has yet to lose a race and will be looking to hold on to that record at Little Silver, but hoping to put a stop to his run of wins will be the likes of Alan Packer, Dave Watson and Adrian Toy to name a few.

In the Open Evo Championship its Ricky Brown on the CR250 Tony Maunders Racing Honda who leads the proceedings after the opening round from James Faulkner who sits just 4 points adrift with Andrew Williams literally 1 point behind Faulkner in 3rd, but all could very well change as lining up with them will be the likes of Matt Wells on the CR250 Active Fire & Security Honda, Ben Brewer, Adam Plant and Jason Hibberd plus many more.

In the Junior Championship things got really tight at the last round where Dave Anthony on the Oakleaf Building Honda took over the Championship lead from the Bridgestone KTM of Harry Linton by 1 point, but not too far away in 3rd is Jamie Buckingham on the Alex Buckingham Mc Husqvarna who will be looking to move up, as will many others like Ross Churchill on the Topline KTM and Harry Mitchell, Tyron Cleaver plus many others.

Little Silver Moto Parc is an excellent viewing track with easy parking and will be signposted off the end of the M5 Motorway (Sat Nav EX6 7UD) with the first race at 10-30am. There are still a few spaces available, call Greta on 01884 840078
