A well-structured and professionally delivered seminar was the feedback from the twenty four delegates who attended the FIM Clerk of the Course seminar, held the ACU’s offices at Rugby last weekend.
The two day seminar was presented by FIM CCP members Tony Steele and Graham Brodie, with the delegates sitting an hour and a half examination on questions based around the various rules and regulations relating to the organisation and staging of World championship Speedway, Long Track, Flat Track and Ice Speedway events.
The majority of the delegates were either ACU or BSPA officials, but there were also delegates representing the Italian, Norwegian and American motorcycle federations.
ACU Track Racing Chairman Dickie Staff commented ‘I felt that this was a very productive seminar, and one where all delegates became involved in two way discussions with the presenters. It was also pleasing to see the interaction and camaraderie between the ACU and BSPA delegates, and I’m positive that events like this only help to further strengthen and improve relationships of the people involved.
FIM presenter Tony Steele said following the seminar, ‘I would like to thank the ACU for the support and hospitality shown to Graham and myself over the weekend. It is difficult to find venues that work well for this type of seminar but the facilities provided by the ACU, together with the preparation and support given by Tracey Cossar (the ACU’s Track Racing Secretary) worked exceptionally well’
