The Auto 66 Club are pleased to announce their sidecar regulations for 2016 after a meeting with the ACU. The ACU have taken a good look at the FIM sidecar regulations for 2017. They have decided that that all Road Race Circuits in England (Oliver’s Mount, Scarborough) and the Southern 100 Road Race Circuit in the Isle of Man will be allowed to run everything above the head gasket to Supersport 600 Specification. This will bring the sidecar regulations for Oliver’s Mount and the Southern 100 very close into line with TT Specification.
This decision by the ACU was made at a meeting held late last week in the presence of the ACU Road Race Committee, Ben Birchall, Tim Reeves and Dave Molyneux. There was also a lot of input from the Auto 66 Club and the Southern 100 Club which helped the ACU come to this decision.
The road class will be part of the new UK Super 2 Series which includes rounds at the Isle of Man TT, Southern 100, all four Oliver’s Mount meetings and Cadwell Park. The final round will, once again, be held at Cadwell Park at the annual Cadwell Sidecar Bash on the 22nd & 23rd October.
