Almost half of the available places for the 2016 British Quad Championship have already been snapped up less than a fortnight after entries officially opened. So, if you are a rider who is 'planning' to enter get your skates on to ensure you don't miss out!
Entering is simple. At the bottom of this article you will see links to download both the entry form and Championship regulations, which contain all the information you should need.
Once again the series will be contested over six rounds, each comprising of three races. The entry fee for the full series has been frozen at £399.
The 2016 Championship will also see some changes, including a revised point scoring system. The Championship will revert to the traditional 25 points for a win system currently used by the solo and sidecar British Championships.
In addition prize money will now be paid to
registered riders at each round, instead of at the end of the season (providing adequate sponsorship can be raised).
As well as the main British Championship, there will once again be an
Under 21 Championship, plus the
Nations Cup and the
Manufacturers Cup.
New this year will be the
Rookie Cup (for riders competing in the full series for the first time), and the
Vet Cup (for riders over 30).
2016 also sees the introduction of a new Championship Manager – Rob McDonnell – who is working on behalf of the ACU and who is not affiliated to any one club. If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact me on
