The UK round of the World Trial Championship 2016 moves to Yorkshire and Parkwood Off Road Centre, the venue is situated between Leeds and Bradford. Yorkshire has a strong trials tradition and its many years since an Outdoor World Championship Trial was held on Yorkshire soil.
Event director John Kerwin said ‘The trial needed a move and this venue fits the bill, ticking all the boxes, section designer Graham Jarvis has made many visits to the venue and has designed 12 fantastic sections, work starts next week on the construction of the sections which will be a mixture of natural streams, gullies and banks enhanced with additional rocks, as we did with Penrith it’s all about the vision and turning it into reality ‘
The Yorkshire World Trial at Parkwood on the 16
th and 17
th July will also see the first visit of the FIM Women’s World Trial Championship to the UK, this runs alongside the Men’s event. With the UK’s ladies currently the some of the best in the world, headed by World Champion Emma Bristow.
