This coming weekend, 24th & 25
th October, will see the final Auto 66 race meeting of the 2015 season at Cadwell Park, Lincolnshire. The weekend is set to be one of most spectacular race meetings held at Cadwell Park by the club in many years.
The entries have been coming in thick and fast over the last few weeks and have produce some mouth-watering prospects. The first of these is the recently crowned Steve Henshaw Gold winner, Dean Harrison. He will not be riding his normal Mar-Train Yamaha but will be competing in a F2 sidecar as the driver with Ben Binns being his passenger.
He isn’t the only Harrison to have entered this weekend, he will be joined by his Dad, Conrad Harrison in his TT winning F2 outfit alongside regular passenger Lee Patterson and Brother, Adrian Harrison who is competing in a classic sidecar machine.
The Sidecar bash has also attracted 3 times British F1 Champion, Sean Hegarty. The man from Felixstowe will be looking to make a clean sweep of wins at the weekend on his F1 machine. We also see a very much welcomed return to the sport from Tony Thirkell of Thirsk who has been recovering from a broken back.
This weekend’s racing at Cadwell also sees the final round of the UK Super 2 Sidecar Masters Championship. Conrad Harrison and Lee Patterson look on course to take the Championship this weekend with the nearest competitor for the weekend, Lee Crawford & Daryl Gibson, having to close a 43 point gap to take top spot.
In the solos we are in for some great racing as well. James Cowton, Mick Goodings and Mark Goodings will be looking for wins and valuable series points throughout the weekend.
This Saturday and Sunday is the place to be for any motorsport fan. We have over 40 F1 & F2 sidecars, over 20 Classic sidecars and many solo races as well, including the Count of Cadwell and final round of the UK Road & Track Championship.
