ISDE 2015 Ends With Final MX For Remaining Eight British Riders
As is the tradition at the International Six Days of Enduro, the event ended with a Motocross test, at a circuit close to the Hungarian border. The riders arrived early and spent the morning relaxing and preparing for the final moments of this year’s event. A warm sunny day greeted a sizeable crowd and a nice atmosphere ensured the riders felt good.

Jamie McCanney was the first rider to take to the track, in the E1 heat. The Manxman, who has enjoyed an excellent Six Days, made a good start and found himself battling for the lead for several laps with Spain’s Josep Garcia. Garcia was eventually able to pull a small gap on Jamie but it didn’t matter to the young Manxman as he still took the win in the E1 class overall. Lee Sealey struggled during this final test, suffering from pain and fatigue, but the youngster finished 19th overall in E1.

The E2 heat was a busy one for Team GB as David Knight, Tom Sagar, Jamie Lewis and James Dent all took to the track at once. They took it steady, opting to finish the event rather than to make a mistake - it’s easier to loose time than to gain it over a short lap. But all four brought their bikes home. Knight took 7th place in E2 overall, Sagar 13th place, Lewis 18th place and Six Days first-timer Dent was 31st.

Then there was just the E3 heat remaining for the British Team, Jack Rowland and Rob Johnson took to the track and ran a strong heat. Rowland was in the leading group for the first couple of laps before dropping back in the highly competitive heat. The two riders ended up 12th and 25th respectively in E3 overall.

After six days of riding and some controversy along the way the two British teams completed the event with very respectable results - 5th for the Trophy Team and 5th also for the Junior Team. Despite losing Joe Wootton and Josh Gotts, the teams fought on and they are rewarded with gold medals across the board.
