ACU British ISDE Team Manager, Dusty Martin is thrilled to confirm that Rygor will once again provide vital support and assistance for the 2015 ACU British ISDE Team.
The company, whose headquarters is based in Westbury, is the UK’s largest Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle Dealer group, with branches throughout Berkshire, Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire, Somerset, West London, Wiltshire and Worcestershire, offering extensive coverage for customers through the M5, M4 and M42 corridors.
Rygor is providing this year’s talented GB team with two vehicles to transport not only the bikes but also all the essential equipment, tools and gear that the ten strong squad will need throughout the grueling event. This year the event will held in Kosice in Slovakia from September 7th to 12th and as the British team prepare for the biggest event on the world enduro stage, Rygor’s assistance will ensure the safe arrival of the equipment, allowing the riders to attack the event and aim for top results.
2015 marks the 10 years since the dealer began its partnership with the ACU British ISDE Team and its support to off- road enduro motorcycling as a whole. Rygor first supported the team in 2005 by supplying vehicles for Slovakia, since then vehicles have been supplied for countries as far afield as Greece, Portugal, Finland and Sardinia in Italy, the tenth year sees another trip to Slovakia. During the 10 years of support the team has seen an outright winner of the event in David Knight in 2005 and more recently three podium place finishes for the Junior team.
Team Manager, Dusty Martin, was keen to emphasise the importance of Rygor’s input into his team’s effort over the last decade:
“Logistics plays a major role and is one of the most important parts of an ISDE effort, and as such it presents a considerable financial burden, the assistance we have received from Rygor over the last 10 years has without doubt allowed the ACU’s effort at the ISDE to continue. I’d personally like to thank Rygor and all the people I’ve dealt with at the company who all have bent over backwards to help our team and have been so friendly. I’d like to think that Rygor has contributed and shared our highs in the event having podium finishes in the last three years. It’s been a great 10 year relationship that I hope we can build upon in future years, Thanks very much Rygor!”
Jim Pascoe, Operations Manager at Rygor said:
“It is a privilege to be involved with the GB team and it has been fantastic to follow their huge success over the past 10 years. This event is a great passion of mine, following my own involvement in Enduro Sport Racing and I am delighted that we can continue to support them through the loan of two vehicles from Rygor, this year. We wish the team the very best of luck in Slovakia.”
