ACU EDMONDSON RACING CHAMPIONSHIP HEADS TO THE TARENIG FOR ROUNDS 7 & 8
The ACU Edmondson Racing British Enduro Championship returns to competition in just under two weeks time at the Freestyle Tarenig Enduro, Mid Wales.

Slightly different to the Hafren event that many of you may remember, this new Hafren (the Tarenig) is set slightly further West than the previous British, European and World Enduro Championship Hafren events but will share many of the same elements.

Hafren DBC have teamed up with Aberstwyth & District Motorcycle Club to stage this event which will offer much more man power, knowledge and the great enthusiasm of two clubs joining forces. The event is supported by Freestyle Bikes.

The Tarenig will be based from LLanidloes Rugby club which ensures there will be a fantastic paddock just a short walk away from the town where there are shops, hotels, restaurants and pubs. There will be on site showers, toilets, running water taps, food and a bar.

The Tarenig boast two great special tests. The first is just a couple of fields away from the start area and for those of you familiar with previous Hafren enduros you will remember how fun this test is. It will be a massive flowing grassy special test with lots of natural undulations and obstacles that creates a big buzz for riders and spectators alike.

The second test is quite different from test one at the Glangwy Caravan site. This test will be tighter which uses a number of small paddocks and quite a few tricky little ditch crossings. The faster riders will be able to make up time here by jumping them where the slower riders will have to pick a sensible line through each.

After the recent Knighton Enduro, the Championship has generated some real competitive excitement for the fans. Points leader Jamie McCanney took a double win and will be looking to carry on where he left off, Steve Holcombe crashed out of the lead on Saturday, David Knight is back up to health and speed, Joe Wootton is now putting special test times up front and Tom Sagar was slightly off his usual pace.

In the Expert Class, Jake Subachus posted the quickest expert time in 6 out of 7 tests on the Saturday but a big mistake on the last test sent him down the rankings to a seventh place finish which made way for Bradley King. Jake returned with a win on Sunday. David Kip Herring was a consistent third place on both days and Aled Price had a second place on Saturday. The expert class really is an exciting group to follow. There is simply no way to predict the top three as every round so far this year has been different.

Entries are still available but they are limited. Do not miss out!
