Following the fifth round of the Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship powered by Skye Energy at Blaxhall, Team GB manager Neil Prince has confirmed the first two riders for the MXON in September.
Current British Championship Red Plate holder and reigning Champion Shaun Simpson will be competing in the MX1 class on his Hitachi Construction Machinery REVO KTM machine. Shaun has been in fine form this season and currently sits seventh in the World MXGP class and has recently been posting a string on strong results.
Riding alongside Simpson will be Max Anstie in the MX2 class on the Monster Energy DRT Kawasaki. Anstie also currently leads the MX2 class in the British Championship and recently took a moto win in Germany along with second overall on the day, currently holds eighth in the World Championship standings.
The final position in the team will be decided from the following shortlist of riders which includes American based Dean Wilson, Tommy Searle, Jake Nicholls and Kristian Whatley. All riders have recently returned back to action following injuries and Team Manager Neil Prince will continue to follow their progress over the coming weeks before making his final decision.
