New track hosts British Championship
A brand new track for the series - Cusses Gorse in Wiltshire - will host round four of the fiercely fought ACU Willcock Holeformers British Quad Championship this weekend (June 7).

Set in a shallow valley, the natural rolling track is perfect for quad racing and spectating and also has good facilities as it has been used for Maxxis British solo championship events as recently as last year.

Cusses Gorse (SP4 6JL) near Salisbury replaces the original round four venue of Stratford, which has been closed to all events until later in the summer by the landowner. The upside of the late switch is no rider goes to Cusses Gorse with prior knowledge of the track which makes predicting a winner even harder.

So far this year the championship has thrown up three different winners, including former champion Paul Holmes (Yamaha), who now leads Northern Ireland's Dean Colhoun (Honda) by just 20 points, while veteran and fellow Irishman Justin Reid (Can-Am) is a further 28 points back. Sunday's round marks the start of the second half of the six round series, and with 150 points up for grabs at each round the title is still wide open.

The situation is the same in the Under 21 Category where Colhoun leads George Callaway (Yamaha) by just 28 points with the pair starting to stretch out an advantage over the rest of the pack.

The meeting will also include a full programme of NORA Championship classes with riders competing in round five of the nine round series. There will be classes for all ages and ability and online entry is open now on the club's website - www.nora-mx.org.uk .

Pratice and qualifying will start at 9.30 with the first race starting immediately afterwards.
