The long drive of Hoghton Tower is the centre piece for a test of nerves and skill as participants compete for glory at Hoghton Tower Motorcycle Sprint on the 10th May 2015. Hoghton Tower has been the host of the Motorcycle Sprint for over 30 years now, and the historic venue will be featuring this event again.
The Motorcycle Sprint has become an important event on the biking calendar and has a dedicated following of committed motorcycle enthusiasts. The Sprint features all different types of bikes from British made to Japanese made, and even includes some homemade and customised motorbikes! The race will be measured by category and time which gives it 1950’s British feel. The course is narrow and steep which only adds to the excitement of the day.
It is a fantastic day out for all the family, with delicious food and drink on offer from outdoor stalls and from the Hoghton Tower tea room throughout the day.
Elena Faraoni a trustee of Hoghton Tower commented on the event saying; “The Motorcycle Sprint has been an important event on our calendar for many years now. It is a really enjoyable day for everyone and we look forward to hosting the event every year.”
