The Dirtbike Action team have been hard at work preparing new routes and going for the 3rd and 4
th rounds of ACU Edmondson Racing British Enduro Championship over the weekend of 2/3 May. The venue Duncome Park Estate is located high above the picturesque market town of Helmsley in North Yorkshire.
This year brings significant changes to the course and special tests used over the last few years. The start area offers great flat camping with easy access to a road which runs along the camping strip. Helmsley is 1.5 miles away with shops, pubs, restaurants, hotels, B&B’s and a petrol station. The course length is 22 miles which means there is no refuelling other than at the start area, 1 of the tests is located at the start area along with commentary and updates from the other test which is 1 mile away access by bicycle or on foot.
This is the North of England premier enduro event and the course is very different from the March event all the best going in the southern parts of the valleys is saved for this event. All the usual British Enduro Championship classes are catered for, plus a non-championship sportsman support class, this is aimed at local sportsman, clubman riders wanting to try out a British Championship Enduro event without having to jump in to a championship class.
