David Knight will be fired up to maintain his lead in this season’s ACU British Extreme Enduro Championship on Janaury 25th at Tong near Bradford. Defending champion Knight had a terrific outing at the opening round, Heads of the Valleys in South Wales, and revels in the short sharp Tong course.
Eddy’s Xtreme Enduro is well established at the Parkwood Offroad Centre (postcode BD4 0RR) and always attracts a terrific entry and a great crowd around the course which allows spectators to be in the heart of the action from the moment the start flag drops. Course planning is already underway and organiser Paul Edmondson is determined to make this event one of the most extreme at the Tong venue so far. The combination of woodland, dotted with steep valleys and rock sections make Tong a great event for spectators, especially with a service road around the venue that allows easy access to all the extreme sections.
The Fast Eddy team have also made entering the event very easy with their new online booking system on the fasteddyracing.com website, which is proving to be very popular with riders who can enter using Paypal or by credit card. International entries are coming in nicely and, as usual, many of the UK’s top extreme riders are already on the entry list.
The event format will remain unchanged. A two-hour morning race for Veterans, Sportsman and Youth 13-16 riders starts at 10.00am and will be followed by a two and a half hour race for Clubman, Expert and Pro riders beginning at 1.00pm.
Spectator entry prices will also remain unchanged at just £10 for adults, under 16’s and OAP’s £5 and under 5’s free with no charges for parking, making this an excellent value-for-money event and fantastic family entertainment.
