The fourth and final round of LL&DC youth championship was held on 26th October at a new venue for the club Nant-y-ffirth near Wrexham. This new venue is a forestry complex covering a massive area. All year the club has enjoyed brilliant weather for all rounds and to hold a trial in October was no different. The sections weaved in and out of the trees and up and down some of the bankings the forest had to offer. Grip was excellent so all that was needed was balance and concentration.
With their taped sections the beginner route riders got to grips early on and enjoyed the days riding. 3rd place on 21 was Liam Campbell, 2nd on 14 was Rhys Gelder and coming in first with just 8 marks lost was Joe Chard.
The intermediate route had a slight deviation to test their ever improving skills with added bankings and obstacles. 3rd on 6 marks lost and the youngest rider in that class was Dylan Hayes, only 2 marks in front on 4 was Aaron Chadwick and coming in with her first ever win and best ride of the year on 3 marks was Taylor Crossland, this little lady's confidence growing by every section.
On the hard route these youngsters were swept away once again on the adult course. Some of the best routes were chosen to test these young lads.
For the C class on the hard route was Ryan Shepherd on 15 marks.
The D Class on the hard route coming in 3rd with 11 marks was Jenson Jones, joint 2nd on 6 marks were battling team mates Morgan Shepherd and Charlie Crossland, 1st on 2 marks lost was Chirk lad Lewis Hurdsman.
Rider for the day sponsored by Top Trophies North was Douglas Christopher a new comer to the club showing real determination on the intermediate route.
Thanks to all who supported this event.
