MRO Minitwins
Grant Robertson was crowned 2014 MRO Minitwin champion at the final round of the season, after the NP Motorcycles-backed rider took a brace of wins in the difficult conditions on Saturday, and cemented his place with two fifths on Sunday.
Robertson’s double in the rain on Saturday handed him a 40 point advantage going into Sunday with just 50 to play for. Matt Last and Paul Wilby finished second and third in race one, with Wilby and Rob Garland on the podium in race two.
Cleverly avoiding the frantic racing at the front on Sunday, Robertson’s fifth was enough to be crowned champion, with his nearest championship challenger, Wilby, finishing third, after a race long battle for second with Harry Truelove. The win went to Matthew Truelove
Matthew Truelove took victory in the final race of the season, again from Harry Truelove second and Wilby again third.
Wilby finished second in the championship, with just a point separating Harry and Matthew Truelove in third and fourth. Harry Truelove was also crowned Junior Minitwin champion, from Kurtis Butler and James Nagy.

Rowlings took the win in Sunday’s opener with Marklund second and Alex Murley third, with Folkes this time disqualified for a breach of regulations. However, the tables turned in the final race, and as Marklund crashed out at Paddock Hill, Folkes’ fourth place was enough to be crowned champion.
