SandAce returns to Vazon Bay for the ACU British Sand Racing Championship on the 22nd June
The Condor Ferries SandAce has been steadily growing in stature since 2006. Back then it was a club event, supported by Condor Ferries and other sponsors, in 2012 The Guernsey Motorcycle & Car Club Lbg was granted national status for the meeting and held the first "Condor Ferries SandAce ACU British Championship" for 500cc solos and 1,000cc right hand sidecars which was a massive success.

The SandAce takes place on Vazon Bay where a the track is around 650-700 metres for the solos and 40metres longer fer the sidecars as the club run two bends. Speeds are high and recorded by speed trap, (kindly povided by the local police), at 90mph being recorded for the solos and 95mph for the sidecars. Organization is slick as the track is laid as the tide receades, leaving 3 – 3½ hours to practice then run 30 races.

On the 22nd June 2013 we will be holding the 8th SandAce event; again it will be a National accredited ACU British Championship with the very top Solo riders and Sidecar teams competing to become British Champions. In fact the 2013 line up of 32 solos includes more top riders and the sidecar field has been increased to 18.

The organising committee eagerly looks forward to June 22nd 2013 when we can promise a fantastic field of competitors. We sincerely hope that as well as the massive local support that we get at the SandAce we will atract supporters from the throughout the UK who can spend a weekend in the Island, support the event and share our passion for Track Racing.

As Gareth Bemister said in his report of the 2012 SandAce:
“This meeting was absolute class. Along with Teterow, Marmande and Rhodes Minnis, this meeting has to be an absolute must see for all Grasstrack fans. If this meeting continues in the same vain next season, you simply HAVE to be there!”
